World Food Day is annually celebrated on 16th October of every year.

The day was first established in November 1979. The idea was suggested by former Hungarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Pal Romany.
This day is concerned with people having healthy diets and living a wholesome life.
Good food is very important for every individual to keep their mind healthy and also their body to be metabolized in a robust manner.
People are advised to take nutritious food worldwide so that this day can be more valuable to everyone.
The day is celebrated widely by many other organizations concerned with hunger and food security, including the World Food Programme, the World Health Organization, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

Since 1981, World Food Day has adopted a different theme each year in order to highlight areas needed for action and provide a common focus.
Food day is mainly celebrated because on this day FAO was come under force and to celebrate as the inaugural day of this organization, the day is being celebrated all over the globe the same date is also followed in India.
This earth can be a healthy place only if the people here are concerned regarding their health and are associated with a good nutritious diet and are also concerned to keep the environment green.
In the present scenario, the world is not able to maintain a healthy lifestyle because so many unhealthy stuff and food items have been introduced in the market which is leading to a lot of problems related to digestion.
The poor and rich people both are being affected by this hazardous lifestyle because they are not getting enough nutritious food which they really need to keep themselves healthy.
Somewhere the food is being produced by the modern techniques of agriculture which somewhere utilises the fertilizers which are being produced in the factories.
