A Depressed Soul

“Leave me alone”,

He barked like a rabid dog.

The very same human,

Who had dreams in eyes,

Is wiping the tear blobs,

That have faded his sight.

It’s a day of the same life,

Which he craved to jubilate.

Alas! Poor man is doomed,

And has sank in a sea,

Of profound woe and enigma.

Days once felt chromatic,

Have turned blanched.

Nights once used to be tranquil,

But now seem phantasm.

He, who cherished life on earth,

Is now seeking an escape.

Once a vehement foodie,

He now finds eating a burden.

Heedless of health issues,

Spends days with starving belly.

Like a saint in meditation,

Has locked himself in a room.

Light bulbs are always off,

As he finds solace in darkness.

Tries to sleep all day long,

But tired eyes are left opened.

Engulfs glasses of liquor,

And ends up being comatose.

Concerned kins and friends

Arrange special counsellings;

Yet, the storms don’t cease.

Almighty God, cure your child,

And let light fill in his days.
