World Ozone Day is for the preservation of the ozone layer which is celebrated on the 16th of September each year.
The ozone layer a shield of gas protects our earth from the harmful rays of Sun which at last preserves the life on the planet the ozone-depleting rays which come from the sun are ultraviolet rays.
For less depletion of this layer, the phase-out of controlled uses of ODS means ozone-depleting substances are being used. chemical depleting the ozone layers including halocarbon. Halocarbon means fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine. It is considered that bromines are more hazardous than other halocarbons.
CFCs and HFCs are more hazardous to life. CFC means chlorofluorocarbon which is being found in our refrigerators and air conditioners
Conventions are being made for the protection of the ozone layer which is being depleted very badly day by day.
Some of them are the Montreal protocol & Vienna convention, these convention has been made to have a discussion globally over that how the ozone layer will be protected from depletion different ways has been discussed.
For protecting the ozone layer from depletion some ways are there:
*Avoid the consumption of gases that are dangerous to the ozone layer due to their content or manufacturing process
*Minimise the use of cars means minimize the use of vehicles running over diesel or petrol because they are producing a lot of smoke which is not good for the humans living over the Earth
*Do not use cleaning products that are harmful to the environment and also to the human beings
*The most important thing which we can do is we must promote buying the local product because the product which is being exported to our country is more manipulated and are more polished so that they can resume their shine and their texture, which can create the pollution in an environment which in short causes the depletion of the ozone layer.
