Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026: India’s Medal Tally Reaches 53
India’s medal tally has now reached 53 medals at the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026. The latest eight medals have come from shooting, boxing and athletics. These latest results include two gold medals, one silver medal and five bronze medals, taking India’s overall tally to 53 medals. India’s tally at this stage stands at six gold, 21 silver and 26 bronze medals.
Shooting gave India two medals in this latest set of results. Neeru Dhanda, Manisha Keer and Aashima Ahlawat won the silver medal in the women’s trap team event. The trio produced a strong performance to finish on the podium and add another silver medal to India’s shooting tally.

Neeru Dhanda then went on to win gold in the women’s trap event. Her victory added another gold medal to India’s tally and became an important moment for Indian shooting at these Games. Dhanda’s gold also made her the first Indian woman to win an individual Asian Games gold in the women’s trap event.
Boxing also contributed a bronze medal to India’s tally. Narender Berwal won bronze in the men’s +90kg event. He secured a podium finish after reaching the semi-finals, adding another medal for India in boxing.
Athletics once again produced several medals for India. Gulveer Singh won bronze in the men’s 5000m. This was his third individual medal at these Games, after he had earlier won silver medals in the men’s 10,000m and 1500m events. His three individual medals make his athletics campaign particularly notable.

The mixed 4×100m relay team of Gurindervir Singh, Sneha SS, Animesh Kujur and Harita Bhadra also won bronze. Their podium finish added another medal to India’s athletics tally and demonstrated the country’s strength in relay events.
Pooja Singh added another bronze medal in the women’s high jump. Her performance gave India another podium finish in athletics and contributed to the growing medal haul in the sport.
The women’s 4×400m relay team of Kiran Pahal, Poovamma MR, Prachi Choudhary and Vithya Ramraj then won gold. The Indian quartet produced a strong performance to finish first in the event, giving India another gold medal at the Games. Their victory also gave India its first athletics gold medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
India also secured bronze in the men’s 4×400m relay. Dharmveer Choudhary, Manu TS, Jay Kumar and Vishal TK were part of the Indian team that finished on the podium, adding another bronze medal to the country’s athletics tally.
These latest eight medals have taken India’s overall tally to 53 medals. The eight-medal haul consists of two gold, one silver and five bronze medals, taking the overall tally to six gold, 21 silver and 26 bronze. Athletics continues to be a major contributor to India’s medal count, while shooting and boxing have also added important podium finishes.
