Weightlifting once again contributed to India’s success as Lovepreet Singh claimed the silver medal in the men’s +110 kg category. His podium finish continued India’s impressive run in weightlifting, a discipline that has consistently delivered medals throughout the Games. In athletics, Seema Kaliramna added a bronze medal in the women’s discus throw, displaying composure and consistency to finish among the event’s top performers.
Judo produced one of the biggest highlights of India’s campaign. Asmita Dey delivered a memorable gold medal in the women’s 48 kg category, opening a new chapter for Indian judo at the Commonwealth Games. Soon afterwards, Harsh Singh followed her lead by securing gold in the men’s 60 kg event, making it a memorable double delight for Indian judo. Yamini Mourya added to the celebrations with a silver medal in the women’s 57 kg category, while Unnati Sharma fought bravely to win bronze in the women’s 63 kg division. Together, they showcased the growing strength and promise of Indian judo on the Commonwealth stage.



Indian athletics continued to produce memorable moments. Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra added another major medal to his glittering career by winning silver in the men’s javelin throw, while Yash Vir Singh joined him on the podium with bronze in the same event, giving India a memorable double podium finish. Tejaswin Shankar displayed his versatility by securing bronze in the demanding men’s decathlon, an event that tests athletes across ten disciplines.
