Two youngsters in their adolescent age were in love. Both were opposite in nature, mannerisms, attitude, and religion. The Young man’s name was Prem, who was handsome, tall, and fair. The young girl was Payal, who was brownish in complexion, a little short, and talkative. Both of them met in college and got attracted to each other.

Their friendship slowly turned into love. They used to spend hours together after college hours. Both of them excelled in their studies and extracurricular activities. They had a group of friends to hang around with. 

Whenever they met alone love used to spark between them. Payal would keep on talking about her future plans and about the entire day, while Prem would listen patiently, without interrupting her and adoring her beauty. 

Prem was a rich shot, while Payal was from a medium family. Their religion and culture also was completely different. Prem was a Hindu , whereas Payal was a Christian. However, opposite they were, they gelled perfectly when they were together. They used to exchange their thoughts and gifts. Sometimes they argued over an issue. Sometimes they fought. However, their bond began to grow stronger by the day.

Slowly college days were coming to an end. Both of them began to worry about their relationship. As Prem was rich, he would join his father’s business, whereas Payal would have to search for a job to be successful. The day they graduated finally arrived. Everyone in the college was happy. They both danced in their farewell treat. After that, they spent quality time with love together.

They both began to think about how to meet, as college was now over. They thought of meeting on weekends. Prem promised Payal to get her a job in his own company. Payal was a talented girl and was a topper. Prem’s company would be delighted to have her as an employee. So through his influence, Prem got Payal a job in his own company.

Payal was happy to work for Prem’s company. She was perfect in her job and well-spoken to her clients. Though both were opposites, they used to discuss on a topic and make a decision. One fine day, Prem’s parents came to know about Payal and their son’s love. At first, they got agitated with Prem.  There were many issues regarding religion, class, and standards. 

They told Prem to think about his decision about Payal as a life partner. As it is a question of a lifetime! However, Prem was determined about Payal as his life partner. Prem’s mother supported his decision. After some time, seeing Payal’s performance and accomplishments, Prem’s father was convinced about Prem’s decision.

 So , One fine day Prem’s parents announced about the marriage of Prem and Payal. Both of them were very happy to hear the news. They told their college friends, that they were to get married and unite forever, in spite of being so opposite in their attire and nature. However, their oneness in making the right decisions complimented them!

Their marriage was planned by their parents. Few ocassions to go and finally they will be a happily married couple with opposite qualities. Both of them prepared for the Sangeet. They rehearsed on “Mehandi lagake rakhna” and a ballroom dance. The wedding was to take place according to two traditions, The Hindu and the Christian.

On the marriage day, the “pheras and the puja” was done in the morning. In the evening, the wedding was performed at the church according to Christian tradition. They hugged each other, the couple kissed each other and finally, they became a happily married couple in spite of being completely opposite in nature.

This proves”Opposites attract”!
