The Journey

The River's Lesson
The Journey

Begin.

Cursor the route with faith,

Stride through the muddy towpath,

Clamber the sloppy inselberg,

Traverse the uneven path,

Cross the dense ranch,

With a leap of hope.

How hard and tumultuous,

The ride may be,

It ensures the unassured,

That the goal is not far.

How hard and uproarious,

The road may seem to be,

It ensures the unassured,

That the destination is closer than before,

And;

Somewhere it lies in the strength to hold on,

Somewhere it hides in the endeavor to grip on,

Somewhere it is in the tears of pain,

Somewhere it merges with the gloomy hours of strain,

Somewhere it is indistinct in the toil to attain,

To win is not everything.

But the will to initiate and pursue the string,

Of failures,  of retrying, of attempting,

Of learning and evolving,

Of battling and sabotaging

The trails of inner fear and self-doubt,

Completes the voyage.

Raft through the ripples of the river,

The upstream,  the downstream, and the still water,

With endurance and willpower.
