“Tell me your number”
This question makes me wonder!
And, depending upon the questioner
Wandered I, in my thoughts,

‘What should be ‘MY BEST ANSWER”?’
Numbers have always kept me confused-
Be it bank account number, or that sleek cell phone model,
Or, the highly confidential Aadhar Number,
(Forgetting which might land you into trouble)!

Numbers help define things easier, as they say;
For to me they’ve always been a nightmare;
I find people are easy with numbers (but poor me) ;
Mathematics, how I wish I could myself spare!!
My telephone number, yes, I remember, but
My cell phone number- I had to write.

The best is our birth number (Ah! What a simple calculation!)
That everyone gets unmistakably right.
I can pen down my woeful journey with numbers,
And make this poem somewhat monotonous and longer,
In our busy life, if I disregard the word count while imagining,
The list of people liking the poem may get shorter!
