Health is Real Wealth

Someone has rightly said that If wealth is lost nothing is lost but if health is lost everything is lost. A person can never enjoy wealth if he is not healthy. Each one of us should understand that “Health is the real wealth”.

In the daily hustle and bustle of our lives, while taking care of our loved ones and of our homes, we often ignore ourselves. We forget that taking care of our health should be our foremost priority and responsibility. It’s only our responsibility and for this, we should not rely on anyone else.

I have seen many times, women in many families would not even eat anything before cleaning the entire house, serving breakfast to their family members, back to back they will keep on doing one or the other thing and will not even enjoy a hot cup of tea and fresh breakfast with a relaxed mind.

Most of the times, the hot tea would become so cold and taste like an iced tea, but they won’t mind gulping it down again so that they can just finish all remaining households chores.

I am a firm believer in, “Balance is the key to a healthy, happy, and good life”.

I have set a routine for myself where I start my day with a cup of warm water. Warm water helps in flushing out toxins from the body.

After that, I do some yoga and meditation to keep myself fit and replenish my mind, body, and soul. A hot cup of ginger tea energies me. I enjoy it while reading a newspaper. And then comes, my three meals plan:
1 Breakfast,
2 Lunch &
3 Dinner

I never skip my breakfast as that is the most important meal in our diet. As the name suggests, Breakfast breaks the night-long fasting of your body. Breakfast gives the energy and replenishes the supply of glucose in our bodies.

Come on ladies, why don’t you understand that you can only take care of your family when you yourself would be fit and healthy. So relax, take good care of yourself, and just chill. There is no need to be in a hurry every time.

Please don’t take me wrong here and don’t think that I am a lazy couch potato. No! not at all. Rather I would say that I am a balanced person who very well knows when my body needs some good, healthy, and well-balanced diet, that too at right time.

Include dry fruits like soaked almonds, raisins, walnuts, and fresh seasonal fruit of your choice in your diet.
I make sure I cook healthy and nutritious meals for lunch as well as dinner for me and my family. On weekends we do enjoy some cheat meals.

Along with having a nutritious diet, I make sure that I take good quality sleep and rest. As studies say breaks in between your work, enhance work efficiency and good sleep reduces stress and improves your mood.

Accept, that you do need to go easy on yourself and relax from time to time. There is nothing wrong with relaxing. Taking out some free time for yourself and enjoying your own company fills with great energy and rejuvenates. I personally believe in this.

So, these are some easy peasy ways through which I keep myself healthy. So friends, Stay safe, stay healthy and take good care of your body because it is the only place where we have to live.

Thanks for reading.
