She picked up her baby and held her close to cease the moment,
Her bundle of joy was here which she yearned to see for months.
But her happiness was short lived, as she gave birth to a girl,
Her husband would never accept her, her emotions began to stir.
Numb was her body, her eyes drenched in pain,
Her heart cried out loud, there was no one she could complain.
Her in laws wanted a ‘vaaris’ for their ‘vansh’,
They will not let her daughter live, she screamed for an explanation.
Glancing at her daughter, she embraced her in her arms,
Wiping off her tears she said ‘I promise to protect you from any harm’.
God sent you from above, there is a reason,
You will be an angel to fight these masked demons.

She proudly announced her girl’s arrival,she was ready to fight every opposition.
