Inspiration

Yes, this is a powerful word.

Everyone since childhood, would have someone as an inspiration  to follow or be like them, in their future world. It may be some National figure, any Historian, film personality or anyone from their family or their teachers.

Many times  in a party or  in a wedding time, we get to hear,  “You know, Sudha Moorthy is my inspiration  as she talks so well and being highly educated, she is still  so simple and does so many good things in life.

They may want to follow her and write on various topics.

Some may want to be like one of their Teacher and so on.

Many get inspiration from the God gifted nature.

For some, their parents  may be their inspiration to move forward.

When I used to watch my grandmother and mother as a child, I used to wonder how meticulously they worked the day and night, tirelessly. Don’t they get tired doing the same thing?

When they served delicious food to the family members with love and seeing their smiling faces, they were happy.

They were my first inspiration to try to be like them and now I feel I am like them to some extent when my husband says, “ This dish, ‘ Avial’ (our South Indian special ) you made like my mother_ in_ law.”

After my marriage, I watched my second  mother, my mother-in-law, as my inspiration as she  used to be a great moral support to me whenever I felt low and  uplifted me.

Her sister, who was a Nursery  teacher in Bombay and used to teach young kids tuitions and Sai Bhajan classes was the mediator to our marriage. I looked up to her as my inspiration as she was a kind and soft spoken woman with determination.

I felt, I too had similar nature and when I became  a teacher and taught young minds of eight years, I felt good and tried to follow her footsteps.

Her beti often tells me, ” You remind me of my Amma dear Poornima.” This gives me a boost to move ahead in life.

In my long years of seventy plus years, I met many people in Patna, Pune where we lived who have inspired me but I had my own goal to keep penning my thoughts  in my blog site, Deepa Vishal helped me to make one, learned to get my Podcast from  Neena Girish  and a lot of young bloggers helped me to improve my writing and keep writing each day in various platforms.

Any animals or a bird or nature too can be anyone’s inspiration .

Some become a photographer, script writer or a director or any thing in life.

When one lives in a big Complex Building, you get to meet many people, elders and smart men and women  and children .

One can be an inspiration  to someone from here also.

Nowadays, so many small kids are getting Awards in various sports like Chess, Badminton , Athletics Shooting. These youngsters  could be an inspiration to many up coming children.

Many schools  encourage kids to take  part in different sports activities.

One has to keep looking for inspiration according to their interests. Yes, one has to have the josh to tap on it and improve upon  themselves.

There are so many good singers and now many Reality Shows are tapping on talents and cashing on it.

But keep in mind, never to compare yourself with the others or build  up your EGO, which would take you nowhere.
