Deforestation For Development

Nowadays, the government is cutting down the forest for major development works like  building   of   Highways, building roads, big    buildings  etc.  Deforestation  should  not be the choice in place of   development.  Instead,   the   forest   should   exist  in coordination   with   development. Then, the   green cover of the earth can be protected.

The Trees- A natural protection layer

The trees are a   natural   protection to the   earth’s green   house gases. They provide fresh air and oxygen. They provide natural rain. Without trees, the   earth’s ozone   layer will get depleted. In all ways, they   protect the  earth   from   over heating, and give a fresh lease of life to the earth. They should be in no ways be cut down for development purpose.

In fact, the government   should   plant more trees to safeguard our lives and  provide natural air . With   deforestation, there will be more carbon emissions, the natural habitat  will be lost, Rain forest  will   disappear,   the   quality of air   we   breathe   will be polluted.   Deforestation will   also have   severe   impact on the climatic conditions of the earth.

The government should instead plant a tree on the sides of the road on  the  footpath,  everywhere   to   safeguard   the   earth. Deforestation   is   also done   for getting   wood   for   producing furniture and also to produce  paper . Sometimes   deforestation is done for cultivation of land to  produce  a  new crop. However, we   should   try not   to cut   down   the   trees  for   development purpose.

Because of   deforestation, there  may   be   severe   heatwave, diverse climatic conditions, threat  to the eco systems etc. The animals natural habitat is the forest. The animal population will get depleted. They will have to be shifted to zoos. The earth will become a Concrete jungle of buildings  and highways,  with  no trees around.

The Non government   Organisations   should take   a   move   to protect the earth natural   cover   alongside the   government. To provide a cool earth , deforestation should   not   be   a means to lively hood like agriculture etc . Forest  are an   essential   part of the eco system and provide natural shelter to animal population and   protect   the.     earth   from     devastation    like   fires and earthquakes.

All efforts should be taken to protect the natural reserves of the earth, no   matter what.   Development   can   be   done   without destroying   of     the     forest     cover. It   is   the    government’s responsibility to protect the earth green  cover from depletion. In the name of development, atleast   they  should spare the forest area, as it is the only one we have, which Mother Earth has given us .

They should realize, it takes many years for a tree to grow, and in minutes, it is being  cut  down. They  should have  mercy  for the earth  and  human  kind  before  they  think of  deforestation  for  development!   Hope   the  forest  always   remain   as   our  natural shield of protection

Here is a poem about the dialogue between two trees about the situation of being cut down:

1st tree: I heard they are cutting us down soon

2nd tree: They don’t know that we are earth’s boon

1st tree: We provide shelter to people at noon

2nd tree: They have already brought machines and goons

1st tree :We are earth’s natural cover

2nd tree: We protect the earth every minute, every hour

1st tree :We give earth it’s natural showers

2nd tree: We have natural breeze power

1st tree: With us around, people can breathe in fresh air

2nd tree : If we are not around, they will be earth’s wear & tear

1st tree: The earth will get overheated

2nd tree: The earth will become a concrete jungle

1st tree: People should be alert and understand our signal

2nd tree: Without us around the air might be dry and polluted

1st tree: We provide green house gases

2nd tree: We care for human kind and the masses
