We are all strong…

We are all weak….

Gender describes every individual. But it doesn’t describe our inner or physical strength, it doesn’t describe our ability to perform in any field. At a certain point every gender grows stronger to strongest, and at a point grows weaker to weakest.

People often misinterpret the word with ‘individuals’. My gender doesn’t describe my strength or my weakness; my individuality does; same it goes with every gender.

I remember an incident….” Once I and one of my neighbors(a lady) were just strolling around near our house. My neighbour noticed a car coming from the other side, my neighbour just asked me to wait until the car goes away. I just asked “why?” as it was quite far….she conveyed that a lady is driving the car….in a very demeaning way….

Now in the recent past, if we look at the heinous crime at the RG Kar Medical College, we become so clear that the people involved in the crime are physically, mentally, morally, ethically are all weak, irrespective of their gender.

One of the most talked about issue in our society is disparity in payments/ salaries. Men are still highly paid than women or other genders. Same task, same pressure of work, same hours of work … .wow!! Payment is different???

I believe a change will come in our society only when we ourselves change. As a society we need to realize as well as believe:

  • Every gender is a human being, no one is a commodity.
  • We should live and let live.
  • Doing a crime or supporting it ,both are criminal offenses.
  • Gender is God sent, we should respect each and everyone, the way we pay respect to God.

It is our country, India who always held women Goddess in a very high position. So why in India we are still on the verge “beti bachao, beti padao”. Our India teaches the custom of touching the feet, to show respect…while touching the feet we actually touch the other person’s divine.  So lets be grateful to our culture and tradition and respect every individuals with divinity.
