So what if you become handicapped all of a sudden, as life throws a curveball for everyone differently, as a test from God.
Maya has been an avid practitioner of yoga since her college days. She found yoga to be the best way to keep a healthy body, peaceful mind, and cheerful soul.
Fifteen years later, after marriage and two kids, she led a happy life. But a year ago she faced a terrible road accident, in which she lost her right leg below her knee.
After a month’s stay in the hospital and about four months of rest at home, Maya was on her feet again. Thanks to the prosthetic leg she received from an NGO, she was able to walk again. Apart from starting to do the household chores, she could lightly dance and jog as well.
Though Maya was able to do deep breathing and hand stretch on her hospital bed itself, only now the time had come to do proper leg stretching. And elaborate yoga postures, involving the entire body with movement of all four limbs.
Maya was most glad to start once again with Suryanamaskar, after going through a lot of struggles and bodily pain.
