Kushal Mehra had resolved to surprise his parents for their forthcoming anniversary.
A year ago he flew off to the U.S. with his wife, where he worked as an embassy official under Indian Foreign Services. Both his children were studying in different colleges in the country.
After a year, he sent an envelope to his parents on their 50th anniversary. Upon opening it, Mr. Mehra was pleasantly surprised to find a note with the booking for two at a luxury resort in Goa.
The note read,
“Happy wedding anniversary to my most-caring and beloved Ma and Pa… This is all I could do for you to enjoy your quality time together at a chilled place. Your loving son, Kushal.”
Mr. and Mrs. Mehra were overjoyed to soak up the warm sun at the poolside of the beautiful resort. They thanked their devoted son from the bottom of their heart.
