Ganesh Chaturthi is the most awaited festival of Hindus. it is being solemnized on the birthday of lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. We pray with Lord Ganesha with a deep bent of the heart and devotion. it is an 11-day festival. People use to have a lot of festivities during this duration. Lord Ganesha is worshipped with a special kind of sweet dish called Modak. Modak looks exactly like garlic.

Lord Ganesh – The Hindu Festival

This festival is the kernel of the people of Maharashtra. They celebrate this festival full of rejoicing and gaiety.

During these 11 days, Ganesha is being devoted in a heartful manner by the people. at the end of the 11 days, visarjan ceremony takes place. In visarjan ceremony, the people use to carry the idol of Ganesha to the bank of the ocean where they immerse Ganesha’s idol into the water.

According to the rituals it is said that at the time of visarjan, Ganeshji is being sent back to his parents Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

When Ganeshji leaves us we ask him for his blessings and his eye over us.

His presence signifies the onset of happiness and wholesome. he brings good luck and prosperity to us.

This 11-day festival is a grand ceremony for the Hindus. May Lord Ganesha always bless us with goodness and keep our hearts warm so that we can also be humble and kind towards others.
