Tears rolled down Sonia’s cheeks, it was the third time when the doctor had to abort her baby. Every time baby’s scull, scalp, and brain would not develop properly in the womb due to a birth defect called, ‘Anencephaly’.
Sonia was on the verge of depression when her mother advised her to not lose hope. ‘Miracles do happen, Sonia. Have faith in God”, she affirmed.
After two years, Sonia conceived again. On completion of the first trimester, with fear in her heart, she visited her doctor for her first scan.
“It’s a miracle. Baby’s head and overall growth are absolutely normal this time”, the doctor screamed with joy and hugged Sonia.
“Miracles do happen” Sonia looked up and thanked God.
Tears of bliss and joy rolled down Sonia’s cheeks. Time passed and after a few months, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
