Love Or Arranged Marriage requires Mutual Trust

Marriage and family are important sacred institutions of our society. They require a union of two human beings, male and female, to take an oath of trusting and belonging to each other for lifelong unity. Now, the question is whether you prefer a love marriage or an arranged marriage. Both of them have their pros and cons.

Love Marriage:

In a love marriage, the girl and the boy fall in love with each other, either while studying or while working. Their hearts start beating for each other. They go on dates and love meeting each other. They spend quality time with each other and mostly try to meet each other daily. They slowly get close to each other in their meetings and decide to marry in the long run.

Pros

In a love marriage, love feelings are understood before marriage. The girl and the boy start to know each other’s habits, their hobbies, and their likes and dislikes very closely. They have an emotional bonding of trust, closeness, and understanding with each other.

They love spending time with each other and getting to know each other completely. Hence, mutual trust, comfort, and confidence between them come naturally before marriage.

Cons

The boy and girl may be of different caste that may be a hurdle in their marriage. Or their status as rich and poor may become a hurdle. The boy and girl may have to complete their studies to get married. Or they need to get established in their job before marriage. Sometimes love marriages fail because of family pressure. Also, because sometimes Boys and girls consider short-term flirting instead of long-term commitment that is required in a stable marriage.

Arranged Marriage

An arranged marriage is arranged by the boy and girl’s parents after going through a marriage priest by matching their horoscopes. They go through many photographs and bio- datas to choose the right matchable pick for their children. After that, the boy and girl meet and see their compatibility. They go for a few outings to get to know each other better. Then they get married on an auspicious day for life long

Pros

The horoscopes of the couple play a vital role in the marriage. Mostly Arranged marriage takes place within the same caste. Hence, there won’t be any language and culture problems for the couple. In arranged marriages, all customs, traditions and wedding rituals are strictly followed. Mutual trust and understanding comes to the couple after marriage.

Cons

The couple doesn’t get to know each other very deeply in a few days. Hence, they feel very uncomfortable at the start. Dowry is asked for in arranged marriages by the boy’s side. It may be the cause of divorce after marriage if the boy’s side keeps asking for more. Sometimes, the couple doesn’t understand each other, even after living together for years. Yet to make their parents happy, they continue the marriage. Love bonds and mutual trust are developed after marriage.

In a love marriage , love is a factor

that binds the couple as an response reactor.

The couple enjoy time with each other before marriage

without the factors of, caste, status or age.

Trust is developed before they get married,

To each other, they prove as a healing aid.

In arranged marriage, parents consent counts,

Marriage expenses just stands as a mount.

Horoscopes are matched

After marriage, the couple try to understand each other from scratch

Whether Love or Arranged marriage,

It should be successful in life’s stage

to continue to live in harmony and dignity,

with love flowing between the couple till infinity.

A successful marriage needs understanding and mutual trust

otherwise, the relationship will simply collide, collapse and just rust.
