Intent Over Resolutions

Every year, when the new year approaches, we make new resolutions, but we struggle to achieve them successfully. By the middle of the year, all the resolutions are broken, and we end up at square one. This should actually not happen with us! But many factors just surface to make our resolutions weak, and slowly they die down. And all our intentions just remain on paper or are forgotten.

Factors that affect our intent over Resolutions:

1. Lack of willpower

We have all the intention to achieve high aims in life, but somewhere our willpower lacks. We just make fake resolutions without strong willpower. Instead, intentions coupled with will – power and with clear-cut goals will go a long way to our success

2. Lack of seriousness

We do not have a serious intention to achieve our desired goals. We just take our intentions very lightly and don’t take the necessary steps to achieve them. We keep giving all kind of foolish excuses to achieve our intentions and our intentions, one fine day are wiped out completely.

3. Postpone the now things to every tomorrow

The things that we can do in the now are postponed to every tomorrow. We simply just don’t get the inspiration and the right kind of approach to our intentions. We misuse our time all together and divert our mind to other useless things that hamper our real growth. So, we must take care to not postpone the things that we can do now to every tomorrow.

4. Laziness crops in

Laziness is a big factor that hinders our goals from becoming reality. We somehow find an excuse to lay in bed and sleep all the time. We don’t pay attention to the intentions and resolutions that we have set. We just laze all day, and all intentions and resolutions are slowly but surely lost.

5. No resources to achieve our intentions and resolutions

Sometimes, we lack the resources, the money, and the financial stability to make our good intentions and resolutions work. We feel helpless to the things and situations that happen around us and feel low. So we may either drop the true intentions and resolutions and head in a different direction altogether.

6. Our intentions and resolutions mismatch

Sometimes our intentions are true, but the resolutions are not set right. There is a mismatch of intentions and resolution because of a lack of understanding and clarity of goals. Because of lack of proper match of intentions and resolutions, we don’t get a clear picture of our aims in life.

In order to achieve success, we should have good intentions and a positive attitude and approach to whatever we do. Let it be cooking, writing, or any small thing. With a positive balance and approach, we should learn to appreciate what we have in our lives. We should not say that “we don’t have this, we don’t have that.” Instead, we should always feel the joy of abundance in whatever we have. Slowly and surely, we should try to fix our problems with solutions. We should “make our intentions speak for themselves and not let them just remain on paper as new year resolutions!”

Beyond Intentions And Resolutions

As human beings, we should always have good intentions

powerful affirmations , will-power and inspiration.

Every day, we should move one step forward to our goals

And live life healthy and whole .

Forgive and forget sometimes,

to move ahead and not just sit and whine .

Make resolutions that are achievable

and make ourselves firm & believable .

We should daily thank God

and have intentions that are broad.

Our goal in life is to always have good intentions,

Make them into right kind of resolutions

Achieve as much as possible

and always make ourselves “Able”
