Letter To My Dad In Heaven

Dear Daddy,

Radha Soami, Hope you are doing well in heaven! I will always miss you forever. The house seems lonely without you. I wish you could have lived some more time with us. No one can fill your space in our lives. In the last, though you were gasping for breath, your eyes spoke a lot. You passed away in my hands, giving me all the blessings!

I will always remember our childhood days. The long scooter rides to the zoo, the temple Simachalam and the Lawson’s Bay swim on a Sunday. The everyday night show movies, the scooter rides to make me sleep. You have loved me and the family a lot. You were an honest and responsible soul. I will always remember you as a principled , loving, and honest Dad and a successful Manager!

You kept harmonious relationship with everyone in the family. You guided us in every little step that we took in our lives. I will miss you too much! Now we have to carry on our lives without you. May your soul rest in peace and bliss. You will always be like a guiding star in our lives. You worked your entire life very hard with honesty for us!

You were kind, generous, and a warm person to ask advice. You always inspired me in whatever I did. You gave me the highest education, and I will never let it go in vain. You held my hand as a baby and fed me soft food as a baby. I will always miss your company at home and everywhere.

As a little baby, you made a special song for me to sleep

      Anu po, Daddy po,

      Baby po, Sonu po

      Hi po, bye po

      Nandi po, Wadi po

Jai guru baba, dhan guru baba

     Ji,  Ji, Ji!

Now you have gone to your Guru Daddy ji. Goodbye to you, Daddy. You taught me piano and guitar. You bought me many toys when I was young. In the last, we used to call you Teddy bear. Lots of hugs, love, and kisses to you, dear Teddy!

Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for always being there for me whenever I needed you. Your singing always inspired us. You loved Elvis Presley, Beatles, Abba, Boney. M and many English actors, especially James Bond. You took me to Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, etc., movies a lot.

 You used to sing,

“I have a dream, a song to sing.”

“Boat on the river, it’s sailing away,

down to the ocean, where to, I can’t say.”

I sing for you :

“Smile and everlasting smile,

a smile can bring me close to you.

It’s only words.

and words are all I have to take your heart away.”

You loved Kishore Kumar’s Oodley, Mohammad Rafi, RD Burman, Lata Mangeshkar, Aasha Bhosle, Usha Utap, etc. You were the best Dad in the whole wide world. In my mind, the mantra “My Daddy strongest” always chants. I am sure you’ll continue to give us strength and blessings from up above! Your smiling face, words, and memories will always remain with us!

You taught me to drive a bike. I wish you would always be with us. Time has taken you away from us. Your loving presence will be missed very much. In our hearts, you will always remain!

Dear Dad, Here are a few Thanksgiving poems written by me:

Title: In my Dreams

In my dreams

You shall always remain

In my memories

You will never vain

You have given me

Blessings, love and name

My dear Pa,

In heaven, Hope you be in peace

On this earth,

Our memories will never cease!

Dad Tanka

Dear Dad, I love you

your feel is in the air now

Though you are gone far

You will be twinkling like stars

In our memories and heart!

Dad Tanka

Just Like the sun’s rays

peeping down from between the trees

your soul’s guide and light

will ever be in our hearts

for eternity to shine !

“Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Dad”

Hari Om, Hare Krishna, Radha Soami!
