The concept of peace has always attracted radial thought, action and practices. It has taken to mean merely an absence of overt violence of war, but in the contemporary era it is often used interchangeably with ‘peacemaking, ‘peace building’,’conflict resolution’ and ‘state building’. The modern concept of peace has therefore broadened from the mere absence of violence of something much more complicated.
When we hear about war, we think of something really far away and move like. We might even think it is fun, because we have never experienced one. But war is real and has many consequences; people lose their belonging, their families, their lives and everything they know of. Those that have survived choose between living in fear and suffering because they are surrounded by violence or abandoning everything that they know, even their families and risking everything so they can hopefully move to another country. This drama that seems so far away to us, it is the daily reality of many peoples in conflict zones. That’s why it is important to attend world peace and make peace in conflict zones.
The word “Peace” means stress- free state of security and calmness where there is no fighting or war, everything coexisting in perfect harmony and freedom. When you feel peace with yourself, you are content to be the person you are, flaws and everything.

There are some examples of peace:-
· A feeling you have on a quiet Sunday morning as you sit on a deck in the woods and watch the birds.
· Let’s enjoy peace and quiet.
· Be true to yourself and do what brings you peace of mind
· Put your bare feet in the grass, listen to the birds, take a hike, sit by a lake or a river and just breathe in the air.
· Don’t carry the bricks of bitterness or anger. Set the bricks down. Choose to forgive.
· Sit in our smallness and help us remember that we all need help getting through each moment.
WHY PEACE OF MIND IS IMPORTANT???
Peace is a very important quality for a happy and satisfied life. Peace means the presence of life- positive emotions of love and satisfaction; and the absence of life- negative emotions of struggle, anger and fear.
Generally in the world, when people talk about peace of mind, it is only about somehow making their ego comfortable. Instead of being in a disturbed state, they wish to be comfortable. But the very process of trying to make your ego comfortable is the whole world of discomfort also. The more the person tries to be peaceful, they only lose his peace and go off track. A person who is trying to be peaceful will never actually be peaceful. Just the reverse of this process will happen.
Peace brings the human side of people. Humanity is only possible if people interact and live in harmony with each other. It is something we aspire to do. It should not matter who the peacemaker is. You lose nothing by taking the first step in building harmonious relationships with those around you. The most important dimension is inner peace or peace of mind. Whatever be the external circumstances, it is your control to maintain and grow your peaceful mind.
Learn to accept that there are other people around, other kinds of thoughts, other beliefs, other religions and that is okay. Our most valuable ownership is an open mind. Peace means living a life where our rights are guaranteed. A life in which your success and failures are the result of your own actions, not neglect the will of others.
In order to achieve peace of mind a person must have no fear, no worries and no stress. In short, peace of mind is thinking about nothing other than feeling happy and relaxed in the moment. Most people achieve peace of mind when they are completely absorbed in a relaxing activity to put all other thoughts and feelings aside. For example, when reading a book or enjoying the company of someone they care about.
Peace is forgiveness. It only exists when you smile at the person who has made you go through a difficult situation. Peace is saying, “Lets us move on.”
Peace is to pay respect to human rights and every human being, even though there are plenty of differences and points you dislike. Peace is the greatest style of love of the world, which includes tolerance, forgiveness and wisdom all in a society and people deal with all the situations. People have their own stories, thoughts and lifestyles. All we need is to open your eyes, ears and mind to appreciate those special and unique things. We care for others and we embrace everything in our life; that is peace.
Life shouldn’t be less than a usual life. Every person has the right to enjoy their life without any threats and suppression. Peace means the minimum standards and basement of life. If you want to keep peace or bring it to your life, you have to make peace in your daily life by smiling to people. You are the one who can make peace for the world.
Every little thing you do for yourself is your small victory, leading you to the path of happiness. Once you feel happy with your current life and your current self, also your future will shape positively. It’s totally up to you.
There is long- term happiness and short- term happiness- it depends what happiness means to us. We can be happy in the short-term if we make compromises between the different key parts of life. But we are all looking for this long-term happiness- a positive and balanced relationship with ourselves. Long-term happiness is not something that you achieve and then check off your list. It’s an ongoing journey.
Most of us get distracted by short-term happiness (doing things we like- spending time with our friends and family, travelling, sports, parties, etc.) While long term happiness is a constant process of being self-aware and truthful about yourself, adjusting your priorities to make time for what’s important to you and to constantly refocusing on what inspires you. It is a complicated journey and a struggle to stay on the path. We all must be aware that obstacles and a feeling of insecurity are just part of the process.
It’s important not to forget about a child inside you, who had this big dream about what he/she will become when he/she will grow up. We all had a pretty clear vision of ourselves in our childhood, so we must take some time to stop and feel what we really dreamed about and what gives us the thrill that we are all longing for.
So ask yourself- Is this life you always wanted to live? Is this the best version of who you wanted to be? Because when you start listening to your heart, you start feeling better, you start looking better, and you start attracting better things. It all starts with you. By creating peace in your inner world, in your mind, you bring it into your external world, and into other people’s lives.
PATIENCE AND PEACE OF MIND INTERACTIONS
Sometimes, in our relationships, we become defensive, irritated, and say something to hurt others. We do not realize the importance of patience and end up making hasty decisions. Whenever you feel defensive against the person, try to be patient enough to take time to think over another person’s positive qualities. Building empathy towards others is very important if you want to live a stress free life. Patience helps us accept other people as they are and makes us tolerant. By being impatient, you suffer more than other people.
If things are not going the way you want them to, instead of getting frustrated, you must learn to be patient. You need to see things and situations in a positive light to make your life happier. And to get that positivity, you need to be patient. If you find any life situation challenging, or find it difficult to bear, try to reframe the situation and try to see its positive side.
Anger and stress are two things that are enough to ruin a person’s health. And patience is the antidote to both these illnesses. Being patient, you can overcome any challenging situation with more flexibility and in a better way. Being stress-free and happy helps you stay healthier. Patience is an important tool in overcoming frustration. Patience allows us to suspend judgment long enough to make informed decisions, thus paving the path to a happy and peaceful life. However, if people are patient about situations or events, the most important reward is peace. We will soon learn to think peacefully and work on practical options and solutions.
But virtues like patience don’t come overnight or automatically. We need to practice patience over a period of time and make it an intrinsic part of our nature. A patient person is a good listener, approachable and very dependable, who can be counted upon for support and guidance. Such a person develops a strong network of people who together believe that every experience is a learning experience.
Most importantly, we need to get rid of all our prejudices and negativity and always have an open mind, which analyses situations and events rather than merely reacts to them. Because patience is an important aspect of practical spirituality. Patience is the reflection of a peaceful mind. When we are calm and patient, we make it possible to have inner peace. So from today, let’s start on the path of patience- a great and important companion, and an ambassador of peace.
“A peaceful life is the life of love and happiness.”
