To express herself is a human tendency. The expression gets a new intensity during their happiest, say festivals. We believe happiness doubles with sharing and spreading far, unfortunately this notion of spreading and sharing is misunderstood at times. And loudspeakers are being very illpotent tool for that at time violating fellow citizen’s civics rights.
The direct ills:
- the extreme sound pollution
- elderlies as well as young ones are vulnerable to this aural menace
- pets and strays are mute victims as well
- students face trouble concentrating
- patients and infirms have the sorest bane of sound pollution
- late night loud speakers are conducive to health hazards.

But since the problem is human invented. So is the solution.
Solutions:
- no kind of celebration should be an excuse to cause sound pollution
- mass awareness must be inseminated regarding this
- people must realise that sound pollution is a real deal, not some fictitious claim of a few
- welfare organisations must take drives to educate people
- Govt. must not sheild sound pollution in name of populist agenda.
To sum up, festival is the celebration of goodness.we can assert our emotions but as social beings can’t curb other’s right to live peacefully.
In a culture like ours where sound is treated as Bramhan, the supreme reality, how can sound be used as pollution?
So let’s make festivals voice of inclusivity , not of abuse.
