So there is a generation gap regarding loudspeakers at festivities. Some Like it, while others dislike it.However, these days loudspeakers are become a necessity at festivals, as puja and the mantars are all told by the priest on loudspeakers.
God songs are played the whole day along with the latest movie songs to entertain the public.
To tell you the truth God did not ask his devotees for loudspeakers to be played at his pandals.God likes peace in his prayers from his devotees and truthfulness of the heart. God is within each one of us. There is no need to showcase it through loudspeakers in festivities. However, loudspeakers are useful to listen to Bhajans among its devotees.
At festivities people dance to show their happiness and joy.So for them loudspeakers are become a must as they can dance to the steps of the song on the loudspeakers . Loudspeakers are put on all days of the festivals of Durga Puja, Ganesh Chaturthi Puja and others .
For some, Loudspeakers creates sound pollution . With sound spread loud at a distance and audible at various houses, it becomes difficult to listen to the television at home, especially if a pandal is fixed near to your home. So, to some extent sound pollution should be curbed and stopped. However, no one can question Loudspeakers at festivities as you will be opposed by the public very badly .

It is not necessary to express our joy through loudspeakers. Joy can be expressed by a togetherness prayers by all members of the house, making sweets or listening to Bhajans on the mobile. So, the choice is entirely on the devotees about the need of loudspeakers at festivities. Here is a poem on loudspeakers at festivals…..
Loudspeakers and festivities
celebration and various activities
are become a must these days
and are here to stay
They give you a musical joy
and fill the empty void
by their loud noise
to them you can add your voice
Bhajans, mantras and movie songs
play the whole day long
for the public and devotees
as they flock around the Pandal and lean
Mostly all festivals are celebrated with loudspeakers
as they behave like freakers
People enjoy get togethers
