Love is blind is a saying and I used to wonder how could it be.
Leena and Rohan were childhood friends. Their parents worked in the same Bank and met many time in their regular meet at each other’s houses. They played together with the other siblings and friends and stayed near by in the Bank Quarters.
As they grew up they bonded more than the others and wanted to spend more special moments away from the other friends.
They met in the terrace or in a nearby park and no on never noticed the crazy spark in their eyes for each other.
Fortunately for them, both joined the same college and could meet more often. They watched movies together” Jab We Met ‘ and many romantic movies at times with their friends and some friends did notice the special bonding which groomed sweetly but enjoyed watching them.
After the parents retirement, they booked flats in the same Apartment Complex.
At times many families together went for a picnic or on a trip to Vaishno Devi or to a Hill Station.
Some elders also started noticing their closeness and love for each other.
Leena’s mother was sick and passed away. All were disturbed in the complex as everyone lived like a big family.
Her father married again as Leena’ s younger sister Reena was young and needed a mother’s attention.
The lady Minu was a nice lady and showered full love and cared the girls.
She started noticing Leena’s activities , talking to Rohan and meeting him alone. She was laughing in her studies and was more interested in roaming around with Rohan.
As a mother, she tried to explain to her but Leena was angry with her and did not give a hear to Minu.
Her father also told Minu,” Do not force yourself on her, she is an adult now and would be good.”
They argued about this topic and the situation worsened and they were divorced after two years.
Now many in the Apartments noticed and advised Leena’s father and Rohan’s parents to get them married.
The love and romance over the years concluded to an happy ending and they were married.
They were blessed by a son and a daughter over the six years and their love for each other remained as ever and all were happy.
The children grew well and moved out for their higher education.
Rohan’s parents passed away over two years.
These two were running a business and it was flourishing in Surat.
The love and their business flourished and they were the talk of the town.
Many of their friends followed them and married their love life and all of them met and had a reunion and talked about their younger years and had fun.
Their son and daughter were married off and now they were a proud grandparents of four kids.
Their love for each other is still admired by many as they walk hand in hand now to be of support to each other as Leena developed knee trouble and Rohan held her hands
When they went for a walk in the park. Many eyes rolled to see their care for each other and the loving sparkle in their eyes.
A long lasting love story which many talk about. One find very rarely such a lasting love story.
One should be dedicated to each other from the beginning of a relationship to take forward their love life being trustworthy and be firm in their decisions.
Such love stories may be heard less in number. This needs a strong will power. Both the boy and the girl should not get carried away by people’s talk.
Blessing to such couples who can live lovingly till they depart this world and set an example to the others.
This story may be an imaginary read but I have seen one of my close relatives who enjoyed love life till their far end of life.
Thinking of them, I was motivated to write this story.
