Outcome of the number game

What’s your number, asked the astrologer

In his chart, Rajyoga was destined

He then predicted

Happy with the revelation, he touched the saint’s feet

And thanked him for making his life trouble and tension free

Day and night, he started dreaming about his future

Luxury cars, bungalows, assistants and valuables that he would procure

There wasn’t a minute when he would talk about something else

Forget about working hard

He didn’t even care to respond to small opportunities and chances

For he thought of them as baby steps

That won’t lead to him peaks of success

As time progressed

Loans started mounting and troubles started surrounding him

In maintaining his dream life style

Even before he achieved anything substantial for himself

All his inheritance was then exhausted

And within a few years

The savings of his forefathers too was depleted

He didn’t even have a penny left to spend

Forget about those riches of Rajyog and feasts

He wasn’t even left with good food to eat

Some years later, the same astrologer

Along with his ball and readings

Returned in his city

He went to him

And slapped him angrily

The soothsayer asked him the reason for this misconduct

He replied that his prophecies were all misleading and incorrect

Oh is this the case

Then I’m sorry young man

But please may I know

What efforts did you take

What do you mean

You had then said

That I’m destined

Yes you were

There’s no doubt

For my predictions have never gone wrong

Now I say

Your stomach will always be full today onwards

But please don’t eat anything

Otherwise you will repent

Have you gone insane

Or have lost the power of judgement

For how can one feel full

Without eating food

If you cannot fill your belly without

Bread and breakfast

If you cannot run your car

Without filling fuel

Then how you fill your granaries

Without sowing seeds and nurture the field

Till harvest

How can you fill your closets

Without going to market and buy some clothes

How can you fill your lockers

Without putting in funds and assets

All the more

How can you procure these things

Without creating the necessary sources

And how can you create resources

Without putting in your efforts

Charts, kundlis, numbers, signs

Predictions, destiny and fortunes

Are not in the hands of a soothsayer

But manipulate themselves according to

Deeds of the doer

I can show you your destination

But you have carve your own way

To reach there

A person with belief in self and

Willpower to diligently and perseveringly

Follow his vision

Gains the power to even change his destiny and predictions

And a person who’s lazy and doesn’t put in efforts

For him these numbers and charts

Do not matter
