It’s always said that a handicap puts an end to a person’s skills, abilities, dreams, and his/her life as a whole. Well, it all depends on the person’s willpower and determination.

The body, whether disabled or not, only follows the instructions of the human mind. It’s been seen that even the most able-bodied people don’t even put in the slightest effort, simply because of laziness.

On the contrary, people with limited resources or with minor to major handicaps, outshine their abilities due to hard work and resilience. For them nothing is impossible.

The best example in Indian history is the mountaineer Ms. Arunima Sinha. Firstly, she was the target of a train robbery. She was thrown out of the moving train when resisted, whose wheels had cut one of her legs. It was a traumatic experience for her.

Undaunted, Arunima after a couple of months began training for mountaineering. She resolved to conquer the peak of Mt. Everest, which she eventually did after a period. The world took notice of her doing so with an artificial leg. Hats off to her.
