In Single Motherhood, the person is who has a child or children but does not have a spouse or live-in partner to assist in the upbringing or support of the child. A single mom is a single parent who has little to no support from the child/children’s father. Reasons for becoming a single mother include divorce, break-up, abandonment, becoming widowed, domestic violence, childbirth by a single person, or single-person adoption.

Motherhood is not an easy journey for anyone, and can, unfortunately, feel even harder for single mothers. There are many conflicts and pressures that single mothers go through that other families may not experience firsthand. The strength and resilience of single mothers are incredibly admirable. But it’s also understandable to experience severe burnout or exhaustion. As a single mother facing many obstacles in life, Which helps the mother’s journey become easier.

Balancing work and leisure time can be difficult because single mothers are expected to provide for their children. Single mothers have to fulfilled the duties of a mom and dad. Besides fulfilled all her professional responsibilities, a single mother also needs to take care of her children and provide them with all that they need, including her time.

This can lead to single mothers working extra hours. When single mothers are not working, they have to take care of their children, which overall can lead to little time to have by themselves. There is an emotional challenge that single mothers go through, a sense of loneliness and depression when mothers cannot share their good and bad experiences with someone. Being a single mother is a huge responsibility and takes a lot of courage, they also faced a lack of financial support.

Single-parent families face many problems, from financial struggles to custody issues and conflicts with their children’s other parents. Without a partner to share the load, it can seem even harder. The most common problems are about money, time, and child-rearing concerns; there’s never enough of the first two and too much of the third. It’s hard to fathom the magnitude of challenges that single mothers(widows, divorcees, separated, or single parent by choice) face every day in India. So much so, that they often seek help from mental health professionals.

Changing times and the exposure that kids get these days due to the Internet and smartphones make life harder for single mothers. They are often tensed about the right way of bringing up their kids. They tend to over-compensate for the absent parent and overdo it in terms of material things and discipline. To reduce stress in the single-parent family. Some positive strategies can be followed. Remember to praise your child. Give him or her your unconditional love and support.

Set aside time each day to play, read or simply sit with your child. Don’t blame yourself or spoil your child to make up for being a single parent. In between all the responsibilities, you take care of yourself. Arrange a time to do activities alone or with friends. It’s OK to be honest with your child if you’re having a difficult time but remind him or her that things will get better. With all of these problems faced single mother creates a positive attitude herself. So, Stay Happy & enjoy ur motherhood.
