On the same chowki, place Lord Ganesha, Lord Varun, Navagraha, Shodash Matrika (16 Goddesses), and Sapta Ghrit Matrika (put seven sindoor dots). After that conduct puja offering milk, flowers, fruits, roll, sindoor, clothes for the Goddess, and other shringar items.

On this day, Maa Skandamata is presented with yellow flowers, Gangajal, kumkum, and ghee. Then Maa Skandamata Mantras are chanted, Stotra Path and Stuti are also recited. The puja is complete after performing aarti.

Maa Skandamata, who is the avatar of motherliness, is known for being calm, forgiving, and full of affection for all.

The Goddess possesses four hands, one carries ‘Skanda’ (her son) and the other one is in Abhaya Mudra, and the last two grip the lotuses. This avatar of Goddess Durga governs the planet Budha. It is said that because of Maa Skandamata, Sanskrit scholar Kalidasa was motivated to write two classic creations – ‘Meghdoot’ and ‘Raghuvansh Maha Kavya’.

Maa Skandamata is known to endow her supporters with energy, redemption, and fortunes, and can award knowledge to the most ignorant people if they worship her.
