The Egghead

A Lovely Poem on the picture prompt by Athira A
Egghead
Egghead

Been a fervent bookaholic,

‘Egghead’ was his moniker.

In lieu of loafing in respites,

He mugged up jillion books.

Digged in the alchemy of words,

And made them his cohorts.

With the aid of rimmed specs,

He read out his hallowed lines.

Fables and poems enticed him

With new musings and inklings.

A world of wisdom was visible

In the tinted sheets of booklets.
