Saving our planet from Global Warming is the dire need of the hour.

Global warming is a long-term heating of Earth’s climate system due to human activities which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth’s atmosphere disrupting the balance of nature and posing many risks to human beings and all other forms of life on earth.

Human activities have contributed substantially to climate change through heat-trapping greenhouse gases. Natural factors have also influenced the Earth’s climate but the long-term trend of the increase in global warming can be explained only by the effect of human activities on climate.

Global warming can result in many serious alterations to the environment, eventually impacting human health. It can also cause the rise in sea level, leading to the loss of coastal land, a change in precipitation patterns, increased risk of droughts and floods, and threats to biodiversity, just to name a few.

dJED Foundation

Wildlife flora and fauna have been important influences on forests throughout history. Forests play an important role in biodiversity, ecology, and climate.

One such foundation that is currently concentrating its efforts on putting Ecology before Economy for saving our planet, with the help of the 3E’s – Education, Entrepreneurship and EnvironmentdJED Foundation is helping Chinchwadi Village is near Neral, Maharashtra India become self-sustainable.

This foundation is conceptualized by Dilip Jain, who went became a member of Vanvadi Forest nestled in the foothills of Sahyadri located between Chinchwadi and Vare villages in Maharashtra India, and received heartwarming support from other Vanvadi members to address the world’s major environmental concerns such as dwindling freshwater web little, loss of food serenity and security and increasing biodiversity loss.

He aims to achieve all this by empowering local inhabitants. with the help of the 3 E’s, Mr. Dilip Jain works on ecological regeneration of the region including rainwater harvesting, soil and biodiversity conservation, afforestation, etc. He conducts eco-educational programmes by bringing rural tribal and urban participants together to learn, share and promote a sustainable way of living and lastly, through entrepreneurship, he provides grassroots support to nearby communities of various friends including ecologically sustainable livelihood opportunities so that the people around value conserve and regenerate the abandoned natural resources and can be locally self-reliant for their needs instead of migrating to cities as a refugee.

He seems to have taken this path considering the need to show community symbiosis is not taken care of in current times. According to him, the economical and social system has gravely breached ecological planetary boundaries and it is now imperative for all of us to live in a sustainable way just like a forest ecosystem that takes care of itself harmoniously and holistically. He wants to preserve the rich heritage of indigenous communities that are rapidly getting lost by respecting and safeguarding nature, thus saving our planet. He wishes that the modern world can learn, adopt and adapt effectively to address the big challenges that humanity is facing.

A Thought to Ponder

Isn’t it a thought to ponder upon, that when one man with a vision and a mission can take up such a huge responsibility towards making this world a better place in every little bit that he can, shouldn’t we too do our bits and be apart in this revolution towards climate change? After all global warming is a worldwide phenomenon affecting every living being on earth and not just a handful of few who are trying to make the change.

Let us join hands and stay committed to fighting global warming with sustainable practices, managing a footprint, with innovation and technological development By speaking up and educating people about the harsh effects of global warming not only on humankind but every little living creature on the planet.

With small actions in the form of the way we travel, to the electricity we use and the food we eat can make a huge difference everyone can help limit climate change and we missed ensure that we but practice what we preach.

Let’s remember that plants are the veins and breath of Earth. So let us all take a pledge to plant trees and manage forest bodies and try and contribute in the best way possible to organizations like dJED Foundation in cash or in-kind and help serve the cause.

Remember each hand is beneficial towards saving our Planet Earth!

Immensely liked the concept of 3 ‘E’s in raising the awareness for safeguarding nature… Brilliantly penned👍

  2. The planet doesn’t need saving. But we certainly need to encourage real and quality education such that people aren’t so easily duped, directed, and wrongly motivated. I’ve never met a global anything that had anything close to real information. Not one.
